Each mattress gets an editorial "Our score" that weighs build quality, performance, ease of use, reliability and value for money. The score reflects merit only - a brand cannot pay to rank higher, and the size of any commission never influences it.

How we rank

Our best-of guides order products on that editorial score, then re-check rankings as ratings and models change. Where a popular product has real drawbacks, we say so plainly.

What we will not do
